John nods, having seen that, too. People in America tend to forget, having not seen anything like it in a long time, and while they can all speak of history, there's really nothing that comes close to having seen it take place in other countries.

"It's always horrific," he agrees. "There's no way around it. And no way around knowing what you have to do, even if you started out just wanting to help, is horrific in other ways."
