John nods and is quietly thoughtful for a moment, trying to decide what else he wants to say. He's trusted very few people in Darrow with details of his past and besides Karen, no one here knows everything. Even Karen doesn't know all of his life, although she knows far more than most.

Still, he's less worried about Nikita than most.

"My partner tried to kill me," he says finally. "I was CIA and she was instructed to kill me on my last mission. The only problem is that my instructions were the same."
