"Probably not 'cause if you had, you'd remember it as the most uninspiring and boring reason someone ever became a cop," he says with a laugh, pausing to take a sip of his coffee. "I grew up in a small town and I went away to college, fucked up goin' away to college, then came home and asked the Sheriff for a job. That's about the long and the short of it."

He grins and shrugs. "I was friends with the Sheriff, we'd grown up together, so he gave me one. That's it. I became a cop because I needed the money and I didn't have to interview for it."
